Indias burning problems are plenty. One among them today is Sivakasi Fireworks Industry. This industry wqas established by those years of 19th century by Prominent Nadars namely Mr iyya Nadarpopularly called as Lion..Brand crackers and sparklers and another factory under the brand name KAKA ...Mr shanmuga nadar. I belong to Naranapuram and my age is 74 . This Industry came up just 85 years ago. those days we used to fire the crackers made from palm leaves and this technique was imported from Kerala. with just 2 factories in 19th century now this industry has spread far and wide in virudhunagar District.

Sivakasi was established underPandiya kings during 15th century. Harikesari Prakirama Pandiyan was the Pandiya king who established Sivakasi in 15th century. so sivakasi was under Pandiyas. well patronised and the top agriculture was millets fams , cotton farms and Chillies farms. here Nadras were into Business. thevars and dalits and Naickers were into agriculture. so the beginning of this 20th century Agriculture was predominant in sivakasi. but slowly the Business class Nadar community were so dedicated wanted to seea different business for their community so they were into Fireworks , Calender printing , Match industries they have learnt from Calcutta those days.

witha modest beginning of two factories in 1800s , today there are more than 2000 factories and provide good salary and easy life to aa minimum one lakh employees. the average salary is around 600 to 1000 per day depends upon their skills.
Revenue
more than 6000 crores of money is being generated in this business. you can see countless millionairres. most popular amomg them are...1. Kaleeswari and Krishna Fireworks and later on Sony Fireworks and Nayagi Fireworks and Vadivel Fireworks.
Major disasters in sivakasi.

sivakasi had seen and being seen major accidents and thoosands of human lives . But thanks to govt controls oflate , the rate of accidents are minimal. yet the value of death is great.
2. The disaster and disappearance of Agriculture is total and complete.
There is no animal husbandary wealth in sivakasi.
3. The farming community of Naickers who came and settled during Thirumalai Nayakers time
are in utter shambles. Many have sold their valuablericj red sand lands and black-cttton soil lands to factory owners of sivakasi. so we have lost agri-business , animals and healthy life.
4. what are the solutions to make sivakasi as a best clean city?
a. Tamilnadu govt should appointa commission to makea deep study and preparea master plan how to revive safe Fireworks and
b. how to prevent Chinese fireworks being dumped from China
c. welfare labour centres and a perfect safety teaching training centres with well experinced industrialists like Jeganath Chemical Industries Sivakasi and Krishna Fireworks and Kalleeswari units.
d. there must bea minimum salary of 50000 rs per month for every trained Fireworks trained men and women. equal salary must be awarded.
e. complete elimination child labourers.
f. Govt of Tamilnadu must estalisha powerful non-crrupt officials to oversee the operations .
5 Get rid of corrupt politicians and members of parliamnet who makes a lot of money during fire accidents. All corrupt officials must be scanned and sent to jail for 5 years.
Conclusion
I have produced this blog from my personal experience , having worked in central govt depts like Customs , central excise and AGs Audit..as an Audit officer and above all I am a Native of Naranapuram. I belong to 1940s.
